    Hi there,

I have the 2x8L Autopot system, with the 47L tank I think.

I would like to know how can I maintain the reservoir’s PH. I obtained the Autopot system to be able to leave for weekends, or even 2 weeks if possible, so I don’t need to monitor and adjust the PH daily. My PH keeps climbing up, so I figured maybe my tap water’s alkalinity is the problem. Now I’m trying with distilled/RO water (from my dehumidifier).

Question_1: So what should be the proper strategy here? PH down to 5.5 and let it to swing until 6.5, then adjust again, or can I stabilize it, so I can leave without fear of iron deficiency? : ))

Question_2: I’m using coco + hydro pebbles (50/50) but my medium doesn’t really dries up (as it should?) and on top of coco grows some kind of white mold? I’ve read it should not affect the plant, but should I worry? Air humidity is 52%, temperature ~28 Celsius.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi There…… Firstly if you have an air stone in your reservoir remove it as this will increase the pH….. another option is to use a small water pump on every 2 hours for 15 mins.but neither are necessary…. If using RO water ensure 5% of the volume is tap water….. pH with you substrate in the reservoir should be 5.5-5.6…. set a little lower with the tank off and it will naturally rise to 5.5-5.6 over 24hours…… there could be many issues to what you are facing such as the complete use of the nutrient schedule/elements you are using. If you need to call the office please do so on the number on the website
