In reply to: Heater for AutoPot 25 Gallon FlexiTank Pro
April 24, 2019 at 11:19 am #142JoshKeymasterHi,
Yes you can use a heater but we recommend that it does not come into direct contact with the plastic on the tank, you could use some chicken wire to make a cage and suspend it in the middle of the tank. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Josh
JoshKeymasteryes but needs top dressing with pebbles so the perlite does not blow away as it will become dry at the top of the pot.
Also need to ensure that no perlite is floating around the AQUAvalve
In reply to: How to check pH and ppm using autopot system?
March 28, 2019 at 3:02 pm #135JoshKeymasterHello,
There are a couple of ways of checking, you could use a syringe to extract some of the water from the tray or you have a tap at the end of the system where you can extract water and test the levels from there. If you are unsure please have a look at the animations on our website to find the location of the taps.
I hope this helps!
Thanks, Josh

In reply to: Reservoir below AutoPot System
October 3, 2018 at 9:16 am #111JoshKeymasterHello,
Our systems are gravity fed, therefore the tank would need to be higher than the pots in order for the water to reach the plants.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Josh

In reply to: Coconut Husks
September 26, 2018 at 10:10 am #96JoshKeymasterHi Jay
It is ok to use 100% coconut husk, you must thoroughly clean the husks though as they are more difficult to clean at the manufacturing stage.
JoshKeymasterThe AirDomes will not dry the plants out. Take a look at our brochure on the home page and the instructions in the AirDome section. Remember to use a "fluffy" mix to maximise the effectiveness of the AirDome. I would suggest growing in 50% good quality compost or coco mixed with 50% perlite. Plant up, allow the plant to establish in the pot for 2 weeks and then turn the AirDomes on. Hope this helps………Josh
In reply to: Using Clay Pebbles
September 26, 2018 at 9:49 am #90JoshKeymasterHi J, Clay pebbles are OK only if you use a small amount please make sure that you pre balance them first as in reality they are a building aggregate from Norway & Finland and are very alkaline. This would be the same advice I would suggest if you used the Wilma system, pre treat the pebbles. If you decide to use the easy2grow Kit with pebbles then only fill to a depth of around 4-6 inches. Place the plant on this level, back fill with more pebbles and top water for a week and then turn the system on. Hope this helps, bye for now Josh
