    Hi There, Aquaponics has been used in the past in conjunction with AutoPot, we used to have an acre nursery in Bangkok, they used a very technical filtration system to avoid particle issues. If you are a home grower I would suggest you use the Pro Filter, flush the pipe more regularly and clean the filter out more frequently and you should be fine …… the new AQUAvalve 5 has a much larger inlet now and very much reduces potential blockages.

    Hi There…. As AutoPot is bottom fed it is best to turn off the reservoir for 12 hours during this time the tray will become empty ….. once it is pour the solution into the tray ….. not on the AQUAvalve …… leave for an hour or so and then repeat….. just fill up the tray to the level just above the AQUAvalve pipe connection point…..leave tap off for 12 hours and then turn back on …… and repeat as and when required….

    Hi Marcc,

    If you are in the USA please give http://www.autopot-usa.com a call they will be able to assist you, as we are based in the UK. Are you using the new AQUAvalve 5 in the old tray design as the new AQUAvalves should only be used in the new grommeted trays…. But speak to the chaps in the US, I’m sure they will be able to help

    Hi There….. adding dry amendments to the top of the soil will not work as this area will be too dry and watering through from the top is not advised…. have you considered using the source fertiliser range which has been designed for AutoPot…. please view here http://www.sourcefertiliser.com

    Hi,

    Unfortunately not as they will not get absorbed at the top by the plants….. if you mix in the soil you will be fine but not at the top of the pot as AutoPot is bottom watered

    If you speak to autopot-usa.com they will be able to advise, it all depends on the diameter of the pot you intend to use

    Hi There,

    As long as it fits in the SpringPot and you have simply poured coco or soil on top and ensured the media has fallen into the holes designed in the AirBase and watered through once then all will be fine…. turn the AirDOme on when the plant has established after 7-10 days

    Hi There,

    I would suspect the issue could probably be that you are using the old tray design with the new AQUAvalve 5, ideally the AQUAvalve 5 should be used with the new grommeted trays, because of the thickness of the blue pipe that connects to the AQUAvalve it lends its self to in some instances lifting the front end of the AQUAvalve, this is why the new trays were designed.

    Ideally the AirDomes should be used with a very open media mix in the pots….. if not the air can become trapped and escapes from the bottom of the pot making the water ripple around the AQUAvalve….. this maybe the case…..

    Hi There….. as long as the products that you are intending to use are not too think and stay in suspension in the reservoir then all should be perfectly fine. If you are concerned then the other option is to simply pour the additions directly into the pots…. regards Josh

    It really depends on what you are growing and how you are growing it….. ideally most peopler place their media after each crop is completed.
