    Hi There, yes it is normal for this area to become dry/arid as this area is where the evaporated salts collet, its not necessary to add a mulch to the top but my all means try it to see if it helps at all.

    Hi Jeff, If air can’t rise through the substate it means it is not free draining enough, please take a look at the catalogue for more detailed information

    We don’t recommend using air stones as the fertiliser within the water settles on the stones and over time can cause them to clog, resulting in no air being able to escape from the air stone. The blue bubble pipe is designed with slits that vibrate as the air passes through preventing them from blocking.

    Hi There, if you bought the item from AutoPot in the UK please contact mail@autopot.co.uk, also providing your invoice. If you purchased from another supplier please contact them directly and as long as the reservoir is within warranty, they will exchange it.

    Hi Japers…. Rain water is perfectly fine BUT you will need to check the pH of it 1st and intermittently to ensure that the plants are receiving the correct pH in the trays….. anywhere 6.0-6.5 is generally where you need to be.

    Hi ….. where in the world are you, are you using the official AutoPot pipe and fittings and if you have made connections before then snip the end off the pipe and re-connect. All official AutoPot pipe and fittings are water tight.

    Hi Anna,

    Once plants are potted up into their final pots, generally we advise to water through with 1/2 strength feed and the correct pH for coco, let the plants establish before you turn the system on. Also have a read through the catalogue on any official AutoPot site, also if you use Facebook pop onto “AutoPot Users Group” as the members there are very helpful.
