In reply to: Aquaplate root control
July 4, 2021 at 4:58 pm #885JoshKeymasterHi…. if you are growing cuttings or small plants for a short period then there is no need for anything….. if plants are to be in the AQUAplate for a long period 2 months plus then you can use a root control sock under each AQUAplate

July 4, 2021 at 4:56 pm #883JoshKeymasterHi Please read the catalogue, brochure and the instructions with the system, are you ensuring that the AQUAvalve is secured in the tray, the half-moon at the back/bottom of the AQUAvalve needs to be pushed onto the tee section in the tray where the AQUAvalve is located and push down firmly on the main body of the AQUAvalve to ensure it is connected to the tee.

July 4, 2021 at 4:53 pm #881JoshKeymasterDear Mrs JH,
Unfortunately you will need to speak with the seller, as you will need a reservoir with a 12.5mm hole in it and the 9mm Top Hat Grommet and 9mm golf filter, the hole you could do yourself but you will need a step drill bit and not a standard drill bit. I would ask the Amazon seller to resolve the issue for you. Please feel free to purchase directly from AutoPot in the future so that we can ensure all is correct.

June 20, 2021 at 2:01 pm #858JoshKeymasterHi, it will be excess salts evaporating from the water on the outside surface of the pot, it’s probably more visible due to the silicon addition. If the plants look fine you can simply wipe it away but I would doubt it will affect the plant, its very common

May 19, 2021 at 9:03 am #842JoshKeymasterHi James….. Water through once with the pots outside the trays, allow to drain and ensure the base of the pots are clean before placing in the tray….. then allow to establish and then turn the water on after 10-20 days depending on the weather….. If you look at the largest plant and feel the weight of the pot this will give you a good indication. If you feel a little apprehensive you can turn the water on at the reservoir for 30 mins and then turn off for a few days and repeat this procedure for a week and then turn on the reservoir permanently.

May 17, 2021 at 12:01 pm #835JoshKeymasterHi James, As long as the container is light tight then all will be perfectly OK
JoshKeymasterAutoPot does not require you to flush through the top of the plant unless under extreme circumstances….. All you need to do is fill the reservoir with pH correct plain water 10-14 days prior to harvest and the plants will naturally absorb any nutrient in the substrate and then begin to lose their colour
